About Us

Hi there.
Welcome to our class blog.

We are a classroom of 25 Year 7 and 8 students.

Our school is a Catholic School so we are a special character school and our teachers teach Religious Education daily.

We start each day with prayers, say Grace before lunch and end the day with a prayer.

The students lead the prayers.
Our Church is the Holy Name.

St. Joseph's School is in Ashburton which is between Timaru and Christchurch.

Our Motto or main virtue at school is to be the Hands and Voice of Jesus.

As students at St Joseph's School we are part of the Kea Team.

The Kea Team are the senior students in the school and we hold many of the leadership positions in the school such as Family Group Leaders, House Leaders and School Council members.
We are cheeky, adventurous, fly high, seek challenges and are intelligent.
The other teams in our school are;

The Kiwi Team

The classes in this team consist of all the junior students from
Year 0 to Year 3.

 The Takahe Team

Students in the Takahe Team are Year 4 to Year 6.
Takahe 1 students are in a new building and it is a Modern Learning Environment.
